As explained in the previous section, the Multilingual Bible was developed during Cardinal Cisneros’s time, and from 1504 onwards, he started to organize the tasks to carry out an edition of the Bible by using its original languages. Cisneros spared no funds in buying or borrowing the best manuscripts in Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek and Latin. The result was the Complutense Sacra Multilingual Bible, considered as an excellent piece of art of the Spanish Renaissance.
