Premios Cervantes

The Cervantes Literary Prize Award is mostly considered as the Nobel Prize Award for the best writer in Spanish. The first Literary Prize was awarded in 1976 and since that moment on, every year the Kings of Spain award this prize in the Main Hall of the University of Alcalá.

Among other writers receiving the prize, we include such literary people as Jorge Guillén (the first to be awarded with this prize), Dámaso Alonso, Jorge Luis Borges, Rafael Alberti, Mario Vargas Llosa, Camilo José de Cela, Gonzalo Rojas or Sergio Pitol (the last to receive it).
